In her remarks, the President, ICSAN, Mrs Funmi Ekundayo, described Ukpanah, as an astute governance professional with a track record of excellence and exceptional leadership and expertise in corporate governance.

She said the development puts Nigeria and the institute on the global map as a governance hub, upholding the principles of corporate governance across all sectors of the economy.

“Mrs Ukpanah has indeed raised the bar of Nigeria’s global rating in the area of exceptional corporate governance and value adding company secretary practices,” Ekundayo said.

The awardee while expressing her gratitude, said that the award would push her to contribute her quota to deepen the entrenchment of corporate governance across the globe.
